The Video 2.5 HDD delivers superior performance and operation in
three key areas of importance to manufacturers – high reliability,
acoustics, and energy efficiency. Featuring best in class reliability,
the drive has an annual failure rate of approximately 0.55, based on
current configurations, enabling it to keep product in the field longer
while reducing the cost of field deployment and maintaining customer
retention. It also boasts 24/7 operation capabilities in extended
temperature ranges and enhanced acoustics for near silent operation —
features crucial for consumer electronics and video applications.
The Video 2.5 HDD provides home entertainment manufacturers one and
two disk, cost-optimized solutions for today’s high-definition (HD)
video recording applications. Featuring capacities up to 500 GB,

ASUS
ESC4000/FDR G2 HPC servers have been chosen to meet the needs of the
SANAM HPC cluster used by the Frankfurt Institute for Advanced Studies
(FIAS) in Germany and the King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology
(KACST) in Saudi Arabia to support national-level scientific research.
As of November 2012, SANAM was number two on the global Green500 list,
which ranks supercomputers by energy efficiency, making it the most
energy-conserving GPU-based supercomputer in the world. It stood at
number 52 on the worldwide TOP500 supercomputer list, with 421.2TFLOPS
total processing power. SANAM employs 210 ASUS ESC4000/FDR G2 computing
nodes with 420 AMD FirePro™ S10000 dual-GPU modules and an array of 420
Intel® Xeon® E5-2650 8-core processors for a total of 38,400 cores.
Power efficient hybrid computing performance
The ESC4000/FDR G2 was picked for SANAM supercomputer usage in fields
such as petroleum, aerospace, bioinformatics, weather forecasting, and
the simulation of chemical reactions and particle movement. It delivers

The following is an article written by Jake Crimmins at the Corsair blog on Aug 28th 2012 on Overclocking Corsair Dominator Platinum 2133/2400/2666MHz.
Dominator Platinum 2133/2400/2666MHz Overclocking
One of the best parts about my job at Corsair is pushing our DDR3 memory
to its limits. As you may have seen in the past I set the DRAM Frequency World Record and recently pushed our new Dominator Platinum memory to 3000MHz at Computex 2012. Not everybody can overclock to 3000MHz so let’s take a look at what the 2133MHz, 2400MHz, and 2666MHz Dominator Platinum kits can achieve.
I started off with the CMD16GX3M4A2133C9 kit rated for 2133MHz
9-11-10-30 at 1.5v. With the stock settings 2200MHz was easily achieved
by adjusting the base clock to 103.2MHz. Relaxing the timings to
10-12-11-30 and raising the DRAM voltage to 1.65v the modules were able
to run at 2450MHz. With a higher DRAM voltage of 1.75v I was able to
reach over 2500MHz!
Next up is the CMD16GX3M4A2400C9
kit rated at 9-11-11-31 at 1.65v. When running memory frequencies
above 2400MHz it is highly recommended you have some airflow over the
modules. This helps to keep the modules cool and can help your max
overclocks. With relaxed timings of 11-13-13-35 the kit was able to
achieve 2600MHz Removing two of the modules and selecting the best two I
was able to achieve 2666MHz with the same timings and extra voltage.
Finally I tested the CMD16GX3M4A2666C10
which is the only 2666MHz CAS 10 kit currently on the market. This kit
requires that you have a CPU with a very good memory controller and
airflow over the modules. At stock timings and voltages the kit passed
2700MHz with ease. Raising the voltage and loosening the timings I saw
speeds of 2750MHz+! With higher voltages in the 1.8v+ range it is
possible to crack 2800MHz and beyond.
The Dominator Platinum modules not only look great but they can really
overclock. I was impressed at how easy they were to overclock and the
great results I saw. The 2133MHz kit was able to achieve a 317MHz
overclock! With these settings you should be able to reach similar
frequencies or higher.
