In the same way that HTTP cookies are used by Web developers to store data on users` computer, they also use Flash cookies to store other data if their sites used Adobe Flash player.

Privacy is a very important issue, and deleting these cookies is the solution. However, this was previously not possible, but this is no longer the case thanks to the Adobe Flash Player 10.3 Release.

Normally, to delete the cookies, users could do so through the ‘Delete Browsing history’ option in Internet Explorer. However, Adobe Flash, which is an add-on, is independent of the HTML content of websites, and thus, its cookies were not deleted.

Microsoft tried to provide some solutions for this problem in Internet Explorer 8 and 9, through various APIs that allowed the Flash add-on to respond to the ‘Delete Browsing history’, and in Private Browsing, where the Flash cookies were deleted along with the HTTP cookies.

Adobe recently announced that Adobe Flash Player 10.3 Release integrates with the ‘Delete Browsing history’, so no more problems with these cookies. That`s a good decision.

So, the only thing you need to do is to download the Adobe Flash Player 10.3 Release for Internet Explorer 8 and 9 and try it with a flash website. Share this post on Delete Flash Cookies in Internet Explorer with the Adobe Flash 10.3
